What’s a Regular Saver pot and how do I open one?

scheduleUpdated 7 days ago

A Regular Saver pot is a savings pot that’s exclusive to customers with a Zopa bank account. It’s part of the Smart Savings Hub and encourages healthy savings habits by offering a higher interest rate on deposits of up to £300 a month.

You can check the rate you're earning at any time in the Zopa app. Interest is calculated daily and paid into your pot once a month. As your balance increases each month, your interest payments will too.

Unless we've told you otherwise, your Regular Saver pot will have a 6-month term. When this term ends, your money will be moved to an Access pot where it'll earn the interest rate available on Access pots at that time. You can then open a new 6-month Regular Saver pot, if it's available at the time.

Am I eligible to open a Regular Saver pot?

To open a Regular Saver pot, you'll need to:

  • Be aged 18 or over.

  • Be a UK resident and only have tax residency in the UK (which excludes the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).

  • Have a Zopa bank account.

  • Have a Zopa Smart Saver account.

Is the rate guaranteed?

Unless we've told you otherwise, the rate you'll earn on your Regular Saver pot is variable, which means it could go up or down. We usually review it when the Bank of England base rate changes, and we’ll always let our customers know if we make any updates.
