How do I add money to my savings?
watch_laterUpdated 20 days ago
The quickest way to add money is using the ‘Ask’ tab.
Or you can:
Head to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab.
Tap ‘Add’.
Choose how much you’d like to add, the account you’d like to add it from, and the pot you’d like to pay it to.
You can also set up a regular weekly or monthly transfer so you can build your savings automatically.
Just ask to set up ‘auto-save’ in the ‘Ask’ tab or:
1. Head to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab.
2. Tap ‘Set up auto-save’ and follow the steps.
Please note, not all banks are compatible with auto-save. You can check out the list of supporting banks here.
Prefer to top up your savings using a manual bank transfer?
Your Zopa savings account has its own sort code and unique account number, which you can use to make a manual bank transfer from your current account. You can find these by heading to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab, tapping the three dots next to ‘Withdraw’, selecting ‘Product details’, followed by ‘Savings’.
This money will automatically go to your Primary pot. Once it's there, you can choose how you want to split it across your pots.
Before making a manual bank transfer, please make sure that the bank account you’d like to pay from has been verified by us. Find out how to do this here.
If your bank says it can’t verify the details, it’s likely due to a security check called Confirmation of Payee.
Also, please be aware, we can only accept Faster Payments or BACS - CHAPS won’t reach us.
