How do I set up a standing order?

To set up a standing order in the Zopa app, simply: 

  1. Head to the ‘Payments’ tab.  

  2. Scroll down to the ‘Standing orders’ section – you’ll find this below your list of Direct Debits.

  3. Tap ‘Add new’ and choose whether the payment is between your own accounts or to someone else. 

  4. Input the amount, payment reference, start date, frequency and end date.  

  5. Confirm your standing order. 

What happens if I don’t have enough money in my account to cover an upcoming standing order?

If you don’t have enough money in your account to cover a standing order, the payment will fail and no money will be taken from your account.  

If you still want to make the payment, you’ll need to add money to your account and make the payment manually. 

Provided you have enough money in your account, your standing orders will continue as usual from the next scheduled payment date.

How do I cancel a standing order?

To cancel a standing order in the Zopa app, simply: 

  1. Head to the ‘Payments’ tab.  

  2. Scroll down to the ‘Standing orders’ section – you’ll find this below your list of Direct Debits.

  3. Tap on the standing order you wish to cancel and click 'Cancel standing order’.
