How to close it
In the Zopa app, tap the question mark in the top right.
Tap ‘Start Chatting’.

Before you can close it
Cancel any recurring payments first. If you've got a Direct Debit due, or a salary payment coming into your account in the next 3 working days, we won't be able to close it until those have cleared. You'll also need to move any remaining balance out yourself beforehand – we can't close an account that still holds funds, and can’t transfer it out for you.
What happens to your Regular Saver pot
If you had a Regular Saver pot, closing your Biscuit bank account means it will close and any money in it will move automatically to an Access pot. Please note that as of 24th August 2026, Regular Saver pots are no longer available, so you won't be able to open a new one at any point.
What doesn't change
Closing your Biscuit bank account only closes the bank account itself – not your wider Zopa account. Your login details and marketing preferences are unaffected, and if you hold another Zopa product, like a Smart Saver, that's untouched too.
